Sunday Night

I am sorry that I missed yesterday's blog. We have literally hardly had any time to get on the computer. Yesterday, we taught in the Fund Raising Seminar from 9 am to 4 pm, and had dinner with some friends. Then we went out for dessert with the Chaplains Dept., and got home late.

This morning we went for a walk on the dock to try and get some exercise in. I don't know if I've mentioned how amazing the food is. The other night we had salmon with lemon dill sauce, and last night we had Curry Turkey...the chef on board is so gifted, and this wonderful food really boosts the crew morale, but I'm sure I'm going to bring a few extra pounds home with me.

The church we attended was Monrovian Christian Fellowship, and in some ways reminded us of our church in East TX with obviously more of an African flair. It was very good, and the Pastor called Wade out after the Worship, asking him to stand. We were 3/4 of the way back in a church with 300 - 400 people, and the Pastor saw something special about the way Wade was worshipping and wanted to encourage him in front of the whole church.

After church, we spent the afternoon with our dear friends, the Ecklunds, who are now living in a house on land in Liberia. They had planned to leave the ship and go back to CA, but the adoption of their Liberian little girl has hit many road blocks, and they don't actually know when they will be able to leave the country.

Well...this is going to have to continue tomorrow, as I'm falling asleep as I write.
